Begin your yoga journey.
Enrol in a weekly class, set in my purpose-built studio at my home in the Medieval village of Najac, South West France. With a heated floor for cooler days and an outdoor terrace for the summer, surrounded by nature and views over the forest, chateau and Aveyron river gorge.
My classes are accessible by everyone, regardless of your level of fitness, age or gender. You will quickly feel welcome in one of my small groups (max 6 people), growing in confidence and capability as we progress together. I teach according to the needs and desires of students present.
The foundation principle of all yoga practice is AHIMSA – sanskrit for non-harming. This means treating first of all ourselves and then the world around us with kindness and compassion, both in thought and in action. With my guidance, you will be encouraged to listen to your body, whilst paying attention to breath, alignment and contact with the ground, to avoid going beyond comfortable limits and risking injury.

Hatha Yoga
… uses gentle stretches, breathing, and relaxation techniques to bring balance and harmony to mind and body. Ultimately, yoga is a practice which teaches self-awareness, helping us to become more present and giving us skills to take off the mat into our daily lives.
Yin Yoga
… involves holding gentle passive stretches for 3-5 mins to allow deep body tissue and fascia to release, helping to release energy blockages.
Lucy introduced me to ‘Yin Yoga’ which focuses on strengthening the kidneys through very gentle passive stretches. I was really surprised to feel the benefit to both body and mind during and after these static postures.
Emma Jacobs, Photographer, London.
I have been doing weekly yoga lessons with Lucy for 3 years now – having begun lessons at age 60 when I was going through a difficult period in my life. As well as teaching the postures, Lucy simultaneously transmits yoga philosophy which helps me to bring a different attitude to my daily life and I have noticed many positive changes.

Restorative Yoga
… involves supporting the body in completely passive positions to enable deep relaxation which allows our natural healing mechanism to work. This is ideal for anyone who is exhausted or recovering from illness or surgery.
Yoga Nidra
… which means sleep in sanskrit creates an extremely relaxed state in between awake and asleep that allows us to let go of physical, mental and emotional tensions. It is a practice accessible by everyone – one that works at the level of our sub conscious mind and permits powerful healing to occur.
